Quick question, Im looking to purchase the Kenwood DNX7100 based on everyone's reviews here. The local stereo shop wants $1400.00 for it, but I found it online for $899.00 at Sonic Electronix. Any concerns I should have purchasing an item like that over the internet vs buying it at the local shop? Im concerned about warranty, or if anything should go wrong etc. Any suggestions or comments would be great. THX

Halogen back up lights, wade oe,avs inchannels, led lights, deezee bed mat, more to come.
Try Crutchfield I think it is on sale and it comes with a free back up cam. Or you can wait for the DNX 8120 to come out which is supposed to be better. There is a write up on the 8120 on sound domain.

My stereo dealer called and my 8120 is in. I just spent $6500 on furniture before he called so I may have to wait until next month to get it. I'll post pictures and write a review when I get it.

I ordered the unit and dash kit from Sonicelectronix and it is great. No problem with the unit, warrany is in tact and saved a lot of money. The backup camera i received had a faulty part and sonicelectronix exchanged it with no hassle, th only drawback is that you have to pay shipping for warranty and returns. besides that I have since bought many other items from them, and they are great. I recently ordered 2 05 kicker cvr 10" subs and they upgraded them to the 07 model that were twice the price for free. I Recommend you get it from them, check out my gallery to see the unit setup.

I got the DNX 8120 installed Saturday. It's real easy to use (even I can do it) and sounds great.

    YES!!
I just installed my DNX7100 yesterday actually. It was a refurb through Crutchfield. Very cool HU/Navi. As far as I know, Kenwood won't do warranty work unless you buy it from an authorized Kenwood dealer/retailer. My last Kenwood KVT815 screen would not come out all the way. I bought it at Sonic Electronix as well and when I took it to Kenwood, they looked at the receipt and said they can't do the fix, since it was not bought at a authorized reseller. Sonic Electronix ended up doing the fix, which broke again 2 months later. If you like the lower price and don't mind having it fixed by someone other than Kenwood, then go with Sonic.

They retail for about $1500. I got mine at Cartoys.

I just purchased the Alpine IVA-W505. So far I am very happy with it, easy to use and the sound quality is amazing. Still learing most of the features. I also found out that Metra has a dash kit that looks like the stock dash (with the bumps) part number is 99-8214TG. I have just googled the stock number and checked the responses. Metra's web page does not show the part.
