Feedback on SeaFoam

Hello, I have a 95 tacoma with about 250,000 miles. It has run well ever since I bought it ( Three years, and ten thousand miles ago). I was wondering if I should give seafoam a shot to see if it might clean it out and give it some more horse power. Maybe I've been missing out and not knowing it? Anyone with seafoam experience?

 

I would say go for it! I love seafoam, I seafoam my truck 2-3 times a year just to keep the engine running smooth. I bet you'll feel a difference in all aspects after doing a seafoam treatment.

If you do it... make sure to run it through a vaccum line, and put some in the gas tank. You can also run some in the oil about 100 miles before you do an oil change. Also, after running it through a vaccum line, let it sit for 10 minutes or so, then start it up and let all the gunk come out. You should also take it on an open road and just gun it to help clear it up. Good luck!

I've used it several times. It's some good stuff and it can be fun to haha

FYI I usually put a third in the tank, a third in the oil, and pour the rest into a vacuum line or somewhere really close to the throttle body and let it die and leave it alone for about 15 mins. Then afterwards (100 or so miles) I change the oil, filter and plugs. Just what I've always done.

Finally got the balls and did it the other day... runs much smoother at idle and throttle response is like a whole new truck!

 

I use it like monthly bahaha. It works great! I only use it through the intake though, I doubt it does much in the tank. I've used

$25 bg44k BG 44K fuel system cleaner power enhancer 11oz.

Thanks for all the feedback. Did it today. Put Seafoam in, ran it pretty hard for about 75 miles, then changed the oil. Boy it made a big difference! I put half a can in the crank case, half can induced through a vaccuum line, and another can into the gas tank. It let out a lot of smoke from the exhaust pipe for a while, but then the smoke completely went away and ran so smooth! I will do this again for sure!
