Nice truck man! What else do you have planned for it? Are you keeping it street? Or going with Steel bumpers and stuff??

Thanks. Its just a street machine. I'm not into off-roading. Next up is Andres' devil horns for the grill. Then done for the most part. Lift, upsized tires, and spacers set me back a bit in the wallet. Looking into flyzeyes LEDs for the cupholders as a cheap mod too. I'm sure I see more good mods on TW that I'll like though.

Cool! I did some LED's in my cupholders as well. Did some floor well lights too, and added some lights in the glove box and center console.

Check out my build if you wanna see pics... turned out alright! :D

2013 vs 2005.......I bought both new.....the 13 actually rides smoother than the 05. Maybe the 05 loosened up after 8 years. Even with the lift and new tires I think the 13 rides smooth, not stiff, not bumpy, not loud. For the most part, it's the same truck as the 05. The 13 front bumper is a little more streamlined around the outer edges. They also removed the keyhole from the passenger door on the 13 which is a pain since I don't use the remote fob. Used to walking out of garage to passenger door to retrieve things, now have to walk around truck or back in the driveway. Minor inconvenience. They added a second sunglasses holder where the compass/temp thing used to be but's its too small to be useful. Cupholders are new too, they went from the butterfly plastic thing to two removable rubber plastic cupholders. Rearview camera on the rearview mirror is a nice upgrade too.

EDIT - I did have the "whistling issue" that seemed to have been fixed but seems to be coming back.....going to use the drip line insert and see how that works. Check out this thread, I have a post in there.

I have a question about the immryo mirror bracket, what'd you do w/ the wires that run to the mirror and the corresponding plastic cover? do they just tuck up higher into the headliner w/ no mounting issues at all?

If I remember correctly there are three pieces of plastic that comprise the current cover of the OEM mirror. They all come off, pretty easily, they are clipped on. I then pulled the mirror off the existing bracked on the windshield, slid it onto immryo's bracket, then slid the new bracket onto the windshield. Took some maneuvering to get the bracket up under the roodtop cover at the top edge of the windshield. There were some wires that tucked up under the rooftop cover. All in all, a pretty easy install. If I can do it, damn near anyone can.

EDIT - the stock plastic covers are no longer needed. They come off during the install but do not go back on. I put them behind my rear seats with some other stuff that came off the truck (like those tiny little front mudflaps).

Thanks. Lift is a Rough Country lift. Not sure if it's the best option or not but price seemed right and I had spoken to some people who have them and they did not have anything bad to say. I don't offroad, haul or tow. My truck is an every-dayer, mostly highway with some urban stop and go. More for looks than function. Very happy with it so far. Have about 1000 miles since lift, tires, spacers. So far so good.

I was amazed at how different the 2010 was over the 2005 I had before. However, mine were both 4WD Off Roads, so that may be why? The truck was nearly identical on the outside as the '05... but way more traction now. Oh what a feeling!

So with the 3 inch lift and 285/75/16s and stock UCAs I had to install 1.25 inch wheel spacers to avoid a pretty severe rub on the UCAs on full turns. After spacers put on no more issues with UCA rub and no trimming or cutting needed. I still have a little rub on wheel well if I take a full turn over a bump with a little bit speed (for example turning into a driveway with a litle bit of speed). Very happy with all results.
