I'm heading to the range today (Range 82) to test some new loads for my suppressed long range rifle...just going to be working and assessing 100 yard groups and may bang some steel as well...with my pistol or SBR. Message me if you're interested in tagging along. If you want some pointers on shooting I'll be glad to take the time to do so...

If anyone wants to do a three-day trip to Southport, NC there is some great yak fishing down there...parents live on a golf course less than a mile from the ocean...so, it makes a nice base of operation for reds, etc.

Same basic shit everybody else had 5 years ago.
Southport is awesome, I am from Wilmington and usually hit all around the mouth of the Cape Fear river with the kayak. It's a little hard to get in there unless you get a bigger boat to drop you off or you drive out on the beach and put in from the creeks there. You need a 4wd access permit but still lots of fun.

Don't want to get to far off base, but an older picture from a recent trip in the basin at Fort Fisher just on the other side of the river from Southport.

Damn, that's a bit far for me. But it looks great! I think I am going to hit the ocean in the yak next summer. I have fished in lakes and creeks most of my life (being from KY).

Maybe tomorrow I will go down to Quantico and try some fishing there if the weather holds out.

I went this afternoon and since my base fishing license expired I tried Motts reservoir in Fredericksburg. My first time going and it wasn't too bad.

I just did the relocation of my winch solenoid. I used a $1 spatula tool for the bracket. Just used the metal part and bent it 90º so I could use the screw that holds the AC line in the frame.

Couldn't have gotten the piece of stainless from a hardware store for $1. I'm happy. The holes lined up perfectly with the solenoid box.

Behind the grill, on the passenger side. a

I'm going to Peter's Mill on the 12th of October with a buddy of mine. I think we're going to drive down on Saturday, drive halfway down the trail, campout, drive out on Sunday. It's an open invite for anyone that wants to join.

Is the trail for trucks or only for ATV's, dirt bikes, etc?

And do you need a pass? Website says you can get a one day or three day.

Most of the rotopax are similar in price point for less capacity. Nice mounting system for them, and frankly I wanted them some time ago. In this game, I can mount these in a similar fashion. In various places. Capacity is my end game.

Looks like no one is interested, so I'll just keep an extra 20gal onboard ;) Now I need to decide on color.

DO I go all OD Green? Or a 50/50 in red and green?
