What is the lowest I should be able to get this truck for?

I am looking to buy a used 2008 Tacoma OR DC in Anchorage, AK from Kendall Toyota, the truck is in good condition with 48,615 miles. It is certified used. VIN 5TELU42NX8Z484837. Here is the link to their web page with photos and such. They are asking $27,998. I want to get an opinion on what you guys think I could get this truck for and how much I could talk them down. Also any pointers on how to talk them down would be great too!

Kbb and edmunds.. They give a pretty good price, but don't be afraid to offer low.

If AK dealerships are anything like the dealerships down here in the southeast, they will prob. hold as firm as they can to the price. People down here think Tacomas are worth their weight in gold! I went in to the local dealer down here with cash in hand and all they would come down on a new Tacoma was 600$!!!! I told em to F**k off and found an awesome used one private party for WAY less than what I would've paid at a dealer. Good luck. I wouldn't think they would come down more than 1,000$ at best. Don't be afraid to lowball em!

 

It's a nice truck. I would start negotiating at $23k. I paid $24k for my SR5 2008 almost 2 years ago with 56k miles. But it all matters of where you're buying it at. Location matters and you're in Alaska so I have no idea what is a good deal for that truck. If vehicle prices are high there, that honestly isn't too bad of a deal as is, but I would try to squeeze a couple grand out of them. Still start at $23,000.
