original equipment radio had after market module added to receive satellite radio
I've got a 2012 Tacoma w/access doors. I had a module added to the std radio so I could listen to satellite radio. The spkrs in the headliner are poor quality. Has anybody had experience with replacing these spkrs.

Best is to run new speakers into the back doors and disconnect the headliner ones. I'm planning on doing that or just disconnecting them and only having front speakers

The headliner speakers are pretty much just there to add rear fill. Its possible to replace them, but you have to remove the headliner. Another option is to just cut the wires to them, and replace your front door speakers with some really nice ones and call it good. Your other option, like TexasPreRunner suggested, is to put some new speakers in your access doors. Access doors used to have a place to mount speakers in them. I'm not sure which years had them. They all might, I just don't know for sure. If you want to do this option, here's a thread where some people were talking about it. There's a few pictures too.
