Is this kit Chinese crap or a good deal?

I need lower ball joints for my 96 4WD, and was getting ready to go with Moog. While I was price shopping, I ran into this kit:

    http://www.am-autoparts.com/Toyota/Tacoma/ChassisSuspension/AM-186420648/665329.html

For $101 delivered, it makes one take notice - since the best price I can find for Moog lower ball joints delivered is about $80. However, for something critical like suspension parts, I dont want to throw on the cheapest out there.

Is this a case of a part having a common supplier and then being sold at higher prices because of brand names or is Moog really made in USA and better quality than the alternatives?

If anyone can shed some light, it would be appreciated.

I'd check out Rock Auto, they have a few other alternatives to Moog that are cheaper. I wouldn't trust that kit unless I could find a LOT of good reviews. Rock Auto at least sells AC Delco, Moog, etc. so I'd be more apt to buy a cheaper, 'service grade' part from them vs. some random online store. Just my $0.02.

Try Rock Auto, as Pugga suggested. Quality parts for a lot less. I've never had a problem with Rock Auto.

Yeah, Rock Auto looks good parts wise. Partsgeek also has good prices - better unit cost but slightly more shipping.

Suh-weet! That'll do it. I'll go with Moog to get the lowers and will comback for upper, and inner and outer tie rods later down the road if I need em. I can buy a pair of tailgate stays with the savings.

Does one need a Rockauto account to be able to use the discount code? Because I dont see a space to enter a code as Im trying to check out.

Nope, enter the code in the "How did you hear about us" line. It's a little tricky, but no account needed.

Awesome. Thanks for the headsup. Got both lower ball joints (Moog) and the tailgate straps, all for $93.68 shipped to my door.

Local parts place wanted nearly $70 a piece + tax for each ball joint.

    Rockauto Rocks!

Yeah, they're a great place to buy non-OEM replacements. Their customer service is great also, just an added bonus. For OEM parts, I usually go through Camelback Toyota parts.camelback.com. Between those 2 places, I rarely have to buy anything through my local stealership and it all gets shipped to my door.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Rock Auto is def cheap but sometimes Amazon has the same parts for cheaper (not always, prices on Amazon change). Where ever you go, get Moog; its Japanese made.

Good to go. Heard alot of good about Moog and figured ball joints are not an item to cheap out on in order to save a few bucks.
