I just heard it from someone who did an install every truck is different I was just informing him on what I have come across in my own research. And by no means am I claiming to be an expert I was just saying do your research first. The LR didnt fail he pounded the crap out of them for years they just wore out.

The MaxTrac's won't work with TC lower arms. The casting is too bulky below to clear the uniball cup.

As for the UCA's, yes, they do work with TC/ICON, Camburg could be an issue for the reason you stated.

It is a good budget minded spindle. There is no arguing that. But for someone who is looking to go long travel in the future or run TC's race series stock length lower, It wont mesh. So it all depends on where you want the truck to be when it's done. No sense is spending $ twice if you know your gonna do LT or something down the road. Save and go with a Camburg Spindle so you have that option later. Fabricated is stronger than cast as well. But many user's will not push the vehicle hard enough to have to worry about that.

you can clear 33's with a 3" coilover lift but which ever way you go your going to have to trim for those tires just a heads up OP

Not accurate. Actual tire size (33 is a general statement) and wheel dimensions will determine this. This just in my experience.

    ****
Actual tire width and OD change from manufacturer to manufacturer.

We usually run a 285/70/17 on the Tacoma's with 2.5"-3" coilover lifts.

Depending on tire brand, they do usually require the mud flaps to be removed, some plastic trimming, and if needed a body mount chop.

This is all great information. I do not plan on going LT. I plan on running 285/70/17 and am aware a 3 inch coilover lift would accommodate this but I like the look of a little more clearance.

Since we got on the topic of Max trac spindles... With such a lift and some billies set at 0 (4 inches in the front) what would be the best rear leaf set to run. All-pro with flip kit? Dakar?

Both actually work really well and provide about the same lift (this I in my experience and yes I have run both).

Your decision should come down to intended purpose with respect to leaf pack design. Basically you can listen to what everyone has to say until you are blue in the face, but doing the research yourself works the best.

Literally can't really go wrong with either, but each behave different and work better under different conditions.
