Within the next few weeks, whenever I get a break from school, I am going to replace my timing belt and water pump as well as installing the s/c I just purchased. Right now I am in the process of collecting all the parts I need for the s/c. I am wanting to use oem parts for the timing belt or something with as good of quality. I have found a complete kit on eBay and it is a little more than I want to pay. Don't get me wrong, I will buy it because it has quality parts but if y'all know of anything cheaper or something you've used that has worked good please let me know.

This is what I have found

The only thing I saw was that the timing belt wasn't shrink wrapped. Don't actually know if it matters or not. Did it have the left and right cam markings on it?

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I believe the factory timing belt comes shrink wrapped if you were to purchase it straight from Toyota. The belt would have Toyota written on it. Since Mitsuboshi the company who makes the belts in this kit is a subcontractor to Toyota all the belts come in different packaging. Oh and it did have the left and right cam markings

You don't have too, but for $12 bucks...why not! Better safe than sorry. I did with mine, just hit your local toyota dealer for the part
