I guess G+ still isn't up there with FB, so Google's going to push everyone there.

 

Needing a new backup drive for the home computers. Looking to stay with Western Digital. Always had dependable drives.
Is the only difference between My passport and my Book is that the passport has a removable drive? I think I would prefer that, in case I ever needed an emergency drive for a computer..

For only a $3 difference, I see no reason to get twice the space.. but I wanted to check with you guys.

Go for more space for only $3.

 

You could remove the drive from either of them if you wanted to. Might as well get the passport, since it's twice the space and doesn't need external power.

 

I'd get the 2T drive. I would also be sure and manage it with the OS and not the tools that might come with it

What worries me, is how they offer a TB more of storage, for a $1.50 more.. I feel like the purposes of the two are completely different.

 

Yes, I've done it. It's a standard WD Green SATA drive.

 

Tried applying for the Data Center Administrator job for the new Facebook data center here in town, tells me I can't apply because I don't have a facebook profile.....

Perhaps you guys can help me..

I am having trouble staying connected to my wireless internet. My laptop and xbox will both lose connection at random times or when I can maintain connection it is shoddy at best. I called comcast and they wanted to charge me $80 to figure it out.

I've gone in and reset my modem, had a signal from comcast sent to it, reset my router, updated the firmware on my router, increased the maximum mbps, opened and closed the 5ghz option. I dont really know what else to do at this point.

I have comcast as stated and a netgear router.

The upload is where its supposed to be but the download is about 25-30mbps slow

 

are you using a modem and a router?

 

modem for wired router for wireless

 

so you have a wireless router connected to your modem. what type of router are you using?
