If its ridiculous or not feasible just say so.

I've been reading and searching through this forum for a few hours per day for weeks now. The amount of knowledge is tremendous and, and many ideas fantastic. My problem is I simply stumble across these info gems by accident while reading through hundreds of posts.

Is here a way to start a "so you bought a new Taco..." and a "so you bought a used Taco..." thread?

The new Taco one (which interests me more of course) can be a repository of info, common questions answered, tips, and tricks. For example...

    - remove LCA bolts and grease (with a link to that thread written about that)
    - breaking in your Taco
    - link to the awesome cheap mod's thread
    - do this to make your 6 speed really work
    - wiring diagrams for common mod's (lights, ywm, etc.)
    - etc, etc.

Then, instead of the common "use the search tool" (I've never been told this, but I have used the search tool and perused through hundreds of threads to only find the answer later in a totally unrelated thread) one could just say "check the "so you got a new Taco" thread"".

Maybe we already have this sort of "newbie" thread happening...maybe I should have searched before hitting the submit button......

    Thoughts?

Yeah, you may be right...that probably has all the info one would need to get them started. One of my favorite threads.

Well, it was just a thought.

How Dare you try to come up with Silly Ideas that would prevent all the forum douches from using the Sacred phrase "use the search tool"
