    just read your post, and started laughing, im thinking the same thing, im thinknig of how im going to bring this up to my wife and having her agree to having me do this mod.. Christimas is coming up, so i have pretty good chance lol

    Now that the 2012and 13's Tacos are out, couldnt you jsut order their mirrors and they should mostly just fit right in?

    They should mount on your factory mirror arm fine and then you will have to wire the turn signals, but for heat and the foot lights or pod lights you'll need the 4runner mirrors.

    yes, I do have the OEM 4Runner mirrors. I'm not sure how an aftermarket mirror would look like inside the assy. Just threw the info out there so you don't end up trying to pry off the covers.

    I forgot to mention those pics aren't of mines, just found em on another thread.

    edit: miss read your question. I'm not sure about the bracket. Couple members used aftermarket hopefully they'll chime in.

    can't really tell you how much exactly they were cause I had them for a while now. got them online. look for the best deal, you probably can get them less than 500$, but don't quote me on that.

    I love the work you did. As I am truly intimidated with the wiring portion and I would need the caps painted as well. I am not far from you, would you be willing to do this project on my 09' as well as get your uncle to paint the caps for an install fee? Maybe I could get the caps to you for paint and prep/dissemble doors and get everything setup, etc. So you can wire up.

    I have wanted to do this for a while, but finding the time with a 3 year old is impossible these days. I would take mirrors apart and have them off for days and get tickets!!! Plus, when it comes to paint, I trust no one and already have a paint issue that I just live with because of it!

    Covers are another $37 each ( colored match from Toyota )
