So today I replace my passenger side cv axle. I also replaced the dif seal and the seal on the the knuckle. I did this because I was having a really bad noise coming from that are at any speed above 5mph. So I did the worked found that the axle was in fact in very bad shape. Bearings seizes and out of place. So I was happy I did that. Well after adding oil I went and test drove it. Well Shit!!!! still a noise but not as bad. I take it back cuss at it and start thinking. I checked for play in both drive shafts and that are good. No oil leaking so I think my seals held. so I jack it up again. I find that there is a lot of play in the tire. like in and out. \\-// I take the wheel off and still feel this play. So Its not a bad job mounting the tire. So this is really making me feel like it is the hub. Could I be on the right track or off? I would love some other thoughts and ideas.

Oh my other problem now is I can get my rotor off the studs and hub. Any ideas on that as well? I have used oils and hammer so far and just sprayed the piss out of it so I can try to get it off in the morning.

    Thanks Jake

That most likely is the problem and Bill will set you up with the right hubs.

Your hub and or wheel bearing is shot brotha. Does the sound resemble something like a small dog barking? I had the same issue when I went to visit some friends 800 miles away. Had to replace it before I made my trip back (which was a frikkin mission!)
Also, you can use a 12mm bolt to get those stock rotors off. I didn't have any at the time so I took one from the engine bay. Pretty sure it was holding down the air intake box, make sure you put that back.
    Good luck!

Provided you did torque the axle nut correctly, then these guys are sending you down the right path. If the axle nut wasn't properly torqued, try that first, as it is what holds the two bearing cones at the proper preset pre-load.

Thanks everyone I got the rotor off so easy with those two holes. I used the bolts off the skid plate to remove them. Now I am starting on the hub. And bearings. Wish me luck I hope this fixes everything.

Yes I have been looking at those hubs. I just wish that I had time to wait for those hubs. This is a dd truck and I need it for work. So already waiting a day for the one toyota part is killing me. I might have to just redo the hubs with his

So I got he new hub in today and that fixed the problem. But let me just say that if I did not need my truck for work I will go with Bills hubs in a heart beat. The hub flange alone was $226 from the Toyota and they are the only ones who carry it it that I could find.
