Ahh! My dad has an old Toyota pickup with exactly 268,000 miles on it. Or maybe the odometer stopped working after 268,000...I'm currently at 203,450 in my 2004.

Then it is decided!! I'll try and post some pics to my profile and here as well alongside the install (which will probably have to wait until mid to late December). Any tips on install/general-working-on-our-rigs? Aside from patience? Do i need to torque everything exactly to spec or tight enough, drive around, then tighten again?

To spec is always good, especially on important stuff. Having had my upper control arm bolt fall out lately...I decided to check the other one after I fixed it, and it was loose.

So, check those too, even if you never touched 'em. :p

I'm guessing it's not rusty, being from Cali? We had to cut my old bolts off when I did rear springs on my NH truck. I don't expect such problems with my AZ truck.

Thanks for all of the input guys. I'll try and get some pics up of the before and after when I do actually get around to installing it all.

I actually tried to put in blocks in the back and the bolts came off fairly easy. I used a 4-way lug wrench :p

Since I have you guys here, kind of off topic as well, what are your thoughts on the spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers? My buddy had a set of 4 that he never used and was selling all 4 with everything for $50. Reliability?

It was the shackle bolts that we had to cut - but yeah you should be fine.

I don't like spacers, for lifts or for tires - you'd need extended studs unless it's built into the spacer.

I'm on my phone so it would be a pain to search wheelers and transfer the info.

The leafs were just the dakars for a 2004 Tacoma. I got Nitrocharger Sports all around. The aal was the D6XL.

That's a good price. I've thought about them for the front so that I can gain more space between the UCAs for tire chains, but I'm still on the fence about them. From the research I've done it looks like they are reliable as long as you check the torque on them once a month.

OME springs with the Nitrocharger shocks are a great setup since the shocks are tuned for the springs. I'm using that setup and love it. Most of your questions about relocating the shocks have been answered but I'll add a link to my shock relocation that I did. As was mentioned it helps with clearance but also allows the shocks to be mounted where they will not limit suspension travel.

I also have the Spidertrax wheel spacers. They are the best design for wheels spacers. They are HUB and LUG centric which is best and they have integrated wheel studs so you shouldn't need extended wheel studs or extra-thread wheel nuts. Just use locktight on them and torque them to spec and check them periodically and they are very reliable.

I picked up the spacers from my friend today!! Your rig, Rocket, looks pretty badass. The stance completely changes from that minor 1 1/4 inch. Are the torque specs online somewhere or do you know them off the top of your head?

Long story short, my friend ended up taking back the wheel spacers but I got some at a fair price for being over 3000 miles away from him.

Here is his info. He's also selling some 1" Boras if anyone here or you know of is interested.
