Howdy folks! Wanted to see/hear some opinions on the difference between the two leafs. I have a 1999 taco with a toytech lift. Couple years old now and looking to upgrade. Even with My aal my truck still sags badly. I was leaning towards the all pro 3 inch expedition leafs. I don't need a super stiff leaf but I will be pulling a drift boat and gear most of the summer. Would love to see some pics if ya got some lifts in with these leafs.
    Thanks!

The expo leafs will be closer to 4 inches on an unloaded truck, no? I have Dakars on mine. I like 'em, but I haven't done much with them yet.

Dakars with the AAL are what I have. I love the way they ride but I wish they'd handle weight better. I feel like they sagged a lot after not even a year of use.

The Allpro springs will be much stiffer. If you constantly carry a load in the bed, that won't be too bad. I have the OME+AAL and have been very happy. I use them hard with lots of loads and lots of offroad miles. Still happy with them.

Here's a recent pic after 3+ years of use on them.

Thanks guys! Yeah I usually am carrying some type of load. Don't like the sounds of the dakar leafs sagging after a year. Those ome leafs still look great! Might look into those a little. What kind of bumper is that with the spare carrier?

Yes, to clarify, my OME springs are the Dakars with the extra D6XL add a leaf. Like I said before, my springs have some heavy use over the last 3 years and I don't think they've sagged at all. They have settled from when they were first installed but that is normal for any spring to settle once they've broken in.

The Dakars are a great spring but I would recommend them with the D6XL extra leaf for sure to adequate load capacity.

Also please note that my truck has plenty of weight on the back. With a heavy rear bumper/swingout tire carrier, a bed rack, a RTT, a fridge, a CO2 tank and other gear in the bed. Or sometimes it has a Snugtop Topper and is pulling a trailer. Either way the Dakars handle the load just fine with no sagging.

Here is my truck without all the weight of the rear bumper and the tent. You can see that there is no sagging, and its actually sitting high in the back.

with the full bumper, topper, extra gear in the bed. Still sits about 1" higher in the rear.

fully loaded with a full trailer. Still sitting very level.
