    Hey guys,
Just a quick question for y'all. I have an 07 access cab with 72,xxx miles. I've been experiencing a humming noise while driving and a slight vibration. It goes away when I turn right so I thought passenger side wheel bearing. However I jacked the truck the up and the tire doesn't move vertically at all, and I thought that was the surefire test. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would check the tire wear also to be sure not just a bad tire

Will do, It would be nice if a simple rotation fixed it, I didnt think I would have a wheel bearing issue at 72k.

Is a wheel bearing swap a pretty easy DIY? I have access to a press and would just buy a new hub.

Did you also check the other side? I had the same issue on my 06 AC but when I would turn right it would go away. I assumed it was the passenger side so I jacked it up to check and no play or odd grinding noises. Thought it was weird and checked the other side and instantly found the problem bearing. My local auto parts store carries the whole hub assembly with bearing already pressed for $70. Very easy DIY and should only take 2 hours max if your not familiar with what your doing. Good luck

No I did not check the drivers side but I sure will tomorrow, as well as a rotation. Thanks for the advice gentlemen. I'm out of town for a month and ran into this issue. So a simple DIY is practical I just don't want to be stuck at the shop.

You're a genius, it was the drivers side. Now about pressing this assembly to the hub?? There's so much information out there and I just don't understand it all. Can i easily press this on myself?

Yeah, I saw that, all of my free time has been scavenging the forums. Like I said i'm out of town so I have to buy one from a local shop. Probably just going to grab a bearing from napa or advances. and I found the inner and outer seal at advanced (Part number 710573 and 710477). I also have access to a press at the on base shop. Any other quirks I should know of?

;) glad I could point you in the right direction. I do not own a press so I had my local machine shop press the assembly together. Good luck with the rest.

Well the job is done boys, I did the pressing myself and it was a little nerve racking but all turned out fine. Pretty simple even.
