touch up pen

I bought my touch up paint from the dealer. One end is a pen. The other end is a lid with a brush.

 

someone not too long ago posted a link to a company that made the factory paints in all forms like spray can, for airbrush and pen also.

I got my touch up pen on ebay. $20 and it's a Toyota pen. One end is the paint, the other end is the clear coat.

Just go to ebay and do a search using your paint color code.

 

They sell these at Walmart and Checkers in Hawaii......Duplicpolor 2 in 1 pen and brush.....goes for $6 you can get colormatch with exact paint code like Super White 040 and you can also get clear coat to brush on after the touch up. You can barely notice it, only if you know where the scratch is......strangers will not be able to notice, since it is exact color match.

 

Do you know how to get those shallow scratches?

 

The dealer sells the same thing for less. I paid $5.50 for the 2in1 from the dealer.

 

that's better yet if you can get it cheaper from the dealer............

 

i use the dupli color..they make a import and its superwhite...i didnt clear coat or sand down but its not noticable anymore

I was looking at it today and it appears that the touch up code match paint is lighter. I have the same issue w/ the color matched grill that I bought... maybe it's me, but has anyone else noticed this?
