Almost hit the meridian making a right turn on the hwy...Felt like I lost control in the front end and there was a vibration...I looked underneath and there's marks on the lca which looks like the tires are making contact...Ill post some pics...

-12 offset is a bit much for a 9" wheel.
Should be closer to 4.5" backspacing, which would be a zero offset.

I'm baffled...At full lock I still can fit a fist between tire and the lca...but those rub marks look like they match the tread pattern...

I doubt that the tire is rubbing the LCA. From what you mentioned, it sounds like it's either contacting the cab mount area or it's the traction control kicking in. Did you feel any pulsating in the brake pedal and/or heard beeping sounds?

no beeping but I did feel vibrations...could it be the weight is shifting into the corner as I hit a dip in the road flexing which is making contact with the lca ???

The vibration/pulsating is most likely the traction control kicking in. The VSC/ABS on the new Tacoma tends to act up after a lift and larger than stock tires. You'll need to do the zero point calibration to correct this issues.

Research and look into more to understand what's going on. Here's a little info to get you started.

Thanks! now that I think of it when the dealership installed my lift they did mention it might cause some issues with the traction control system...The lights have randomly come on a couple times...I'll shut it off for the time being...But I still don't know where those rubs marks came from...

I'm confused I thought a 17x9 wheel -12 offset is 4.5 backspacing which is what is needed to clear the uca's with 285's

    You're right.
Calculations should be based on wheel with + 1 inch, so -12mm would be about 4.5"

I didn't hear a beep beep beep only felt the vib and it happened too fast too see if the dash lit up...so I'm going to get the yaw sensor reset just to be safe and if that doesn't fix the problem...I guess it's the process of elimination...
