What kind of Mod options are out there for the Stock bed rail systm..

I am currently using mine to hold my Extang Trifecta and to Bed Cleats..

I am looking into making something that can slide into the rail system to hold my Mtn bike without having to remove the Tonneau cover.. If anyone knows of a way or wants to help me think of one please.. share..

also any other good mods to do with the bed rail system please share.

    Cool Cool..

I was thinking of weather proofing 2-3 pieces of wood for a .."redneck tonneau " mod, some fiberglass of sturdy plastic would do better though.

It's long enough - fits across the bed. The feet should be long enough to fit over the channels....

I can't check since I have an access L/E cover and my rails are covered...

If the "feet" don't work, a "U" bolt should work on the bed cleats.

Holy Blasphemy Y'all....He said stock BEDLINER!!!! tsk, tsk,tsk...

Just buy what is offered to you, cut as much of that end plate off as you can but still leave some flat stock. Drill and tap the ends so a large head bolt will thread in. Put a large washer and wing nut up the threads and then thread the whole bolt with washer and wing nut into the end of the cross rail (bike support) Pull the end caps off the bed rail and slide the head of the bolt into the rails and slide the whole thing up forward towards the cab. When you get it where you want it, tighten down the wing nut so it tightens against the rail. (just like the way the knob tightens the factory tie downs). That cross rail should now be lower or at least even with the bed rail allowing you to put the cover on. Don't forget to put the little end cabs back on your rail ends.

Find out where Ms. Impulse is in SC, If close I'll pick up the part and take the ride up to help you install or fab it up. I need a nice Sunday drive to clear the cobwebs.

I learned alot being an F-15 CrewChief. Like making up a busted flight control cable by weaving in a double boxed end wrench to take up the distance of the missing cable. With all the bubble gum and bailing wire, My pig still had as many landings as takeoffs. I'm not sure if that makes you feel better. Besides, if your truck stalls out, it won't fall 35,000 feet.

I've got an idea in my head on making a cargo divider that mounts to the rail system. Unfortunately, I don't have the equipment/know-how to weld, but I think I can do it using some angled steel, steel mesh, and nuts/bolts. If it works, I'll post it up.
