I have also installed them. I took out silver stars $56 bulbs that were 2 weeks old. The LEDs are not even in the same ballpark. Far cleaner and whiter light. I don't have a bad thing to say about them. Lifetimes are definitely money well spent. Besides that they match the light color of the rigids.

I am the biggest skeptic to something new...yet usually one of the first to buy stuff just in case it is awesome. Just spend the money and buy some dammed lights. They have very good light output, have a better cutoff than the factory bulbs, I honestly think I will be high beamed less, as they aim slightly lower on same settings. The high beams are retarded bright. I was checking brightness, and I really don't want to be high beamed by them.

Install was much easier than expected. You just need a 10mm wrench and that's it. Three bolts total to loosen. Those seal rings snap off and on really quick, and you just have to wiggle them a little bit to seat. It was literally 5-10 seconds to seat each one. I don't see why they would have to be cut. The plugs fasten nice and secure with screw connectors. I did loosen the washer res and just rotated the battery counterclockwise about 30 degrees for better access. The hardest part was getting the bulb to line up and snap the clip as they are much bulkier than a bulb.

Honestly I am pretty surprised, as my other vehicles I always ran HIDs, including 6k lows, 5k highs, and 3k fogs, all overridden to be on at the same time. I am going to put my 3k fogs back in the tacoma and do anytime fog mod, and I have orange amber film for my fogs, so I will have high contrast light pattern and a different look.

If you are on the fence...jump the f'n fence. I'm also installing a set of these on a customers Defender 90 that has hella HID fogs and numerous goodies.

I must say, they are very natural on my eyes. I have ZERO eyestrain now when I am driving. I have already begun to beat them up on public roads and they do not even skip a beat not once during all the chaos I am putting the truck through.

I had to do nothing involving removing crap or this and that with my bulbs. I took the old ones off. Put the new ones on, snapped the retaining lock on them, slid the boot on, secured that, screwed on the fan, plugged everything in and secured it all down. Simple.

The On/Off time is like non existent almost. I here the relay for the headlights disengage when I open the door and they are off as soon as I hear the relay click. No flicker, no hesitation, no cool down, or warm up time. FREAKIN AWESOME.

Here is a good pic of mine as I was swapping them out. Love the headlights now. How can you go wrong with lifetime warranty.

If I didn't know any better. I'd say the general consensus here says to stop thinking about it and just get the already!

here is a shot of the factory and LED. in my 03 first gen.
not real happy with them. they seem to still put off a lot of glare and not nearly as focused as the factory crap bulbs.
Will probably be removing them till i find something else

Can't wait to get mine. My original skepticism was regarding their durability, a lot of vibrations and dust on the dirt roads up herd

First gen owner just has some sand in his vag. It seems to be a side effect when upgrading to a much better headlight then what originally came.

Either he is blind, or he just wants to find something to complain about. I have had nothing but good to say about these things!

I'll tell you right now that I am very happy with mine. I have taken the truck through some seriously trash ass roads and they just take the beating. I do a frequent headlight inspection while I'm in the truck by checking the back of other peoples trunks, and reflection of my truck from the paint. Not one flicker or problem from mine! What's better is that I had all of a two day wait time for mine to arrive. For $88 including overnight shipping, that is an absolute steal!

BTW: One more thing I should add is that You want to go toward a whiter light as much as possible to be able to see the light in front of you in rainy and stormy conditions. The Lifetime LED's use a CREE 1512CXA 6000K chip while mine use a CREE 1512CXA 5000K LED chip. I do not know what the wattage is for the Lifetimes but mine operate off of 50W. The higher the wattage, the more lumens the light is capable of putting out. Ideally you want to be as close to 4200-4300K as possible to get to the whitest light possible. Obviously mine have less blue to them and more white light while the Lifetimes have more of a bluish white light to it.

um what? no sand in my vag thank you. just pointing out some facts. as you can see in the pic. now i am betting the owners of the ugly second gen trucks have better reflector design in the headlight allowing a better beam/cutoff then us better looking first gen people.

also lifetimes use a 5000k not 6000k and 22W @ low beam 30W @ high beam Input. the light color looks fine, It just needs a better headlight.

Hey there Paranoid, easy man. No need to get sand in your vag ;) dude I was just messing around. It is very possible that the cutoff of the second gens have a better headlight reflector design which allows for better output. As for whether or not that may be, I don't know, either way, I would still do it to my first gen if I had one. I like LED lighting. It's much more ambient and natural to the eyes.

Ahh yes, that's right. I know them by different terminology. I personally think those are really not needed but that's just me.

Yes they do. I just visited the page today. Scratch that, I just found one, but it's the LAST SET!

    http://www.amazon.com/Newsun-Bright...e-1512/dp/B00FJ003F8/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

One more from a different seller, same product:

    http://www.amazon.com/Innovative-Super-Power-1800LM-Headlight/dp/B00GKCPU2A/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_17

One more from a totally different seller, this seller on Amazon claims 6000K but given that they appear to be virtually the EXACT same as mine, they are probably actually 5000K, 4 left from this guy.

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
Interesting, I have had Silver Stars in for the past year, and have had them warrantied out 4x. Reason I bought them is because they were the only bulbs with a warranty. Now that I am on my last set before I have to actually make another purchase, these lifetime LED's seem to be a perfect fit for me. Plus they make the truck seem new with the clean light coming from the front as well instead of a dingy yellow light.
