no kidding? gonna have to read up on pirate and see if they are worth their weight in scrap, or one of the legit HF tools that actually perform.

personally, if you were only going to get a bender OR roller, i'd go with a bender. or if you were going to get one before the other, get the bender first. a roller will be a nice addition to the collection, but i wouldn't want to depend on it for every bend i have to make. they aren't exactly efficient. however, people have been able to fit electric pipe threaders in place of the wheel to spin out some bends pretty fast.

SWAG offroad makes accessories for the HF roller. Buy the HF pipe threader and make the roller powered!

I can see the roller being used to make bends for the weld up method. Having a stack of nice bends ready to cut to length would be really nice.

it amazes me that you can build that entire setup, out of brand new parts, for about $300.

So... Colin, do you want the 20% off HF coupon I just came across? I'll help you test out the new rollers. :D

What the hell, just type in 93253188, and you're good to go. :)

i think you're like 5th in line lol. unfortunately, it may come down to who every wants it locally, after i build the new one. shipping on that 60+ lb monster would not be enjoyable.

I'll be ordering redline for the diffs, but want a cheaper solution for the rear diff as the fluids will be switched out after 500 miles. Any suggestions?

And just to clarify, I can use the same gear oil in the diffs and the transfer case, correct? The guy that built my diffs recommended 80-140.

    this in the diffs
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CPI5XW/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and this in the transfer case (just get one quart, and you can top off with extra diff oil if needed)
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CPCBF0/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

i'd just use some cheaper synthetic gear oil for the break in. whatever you can find, in the weight that ARB/Nitro specifies. or whoever you got the gears from.

huh, that's weird. they are different for me. maybe because i linked them from my logged in account.

anyway, you want the heavy shock proof (red bottle) for the diffs. the yellow will work, but the red is better. then use the yellow bottle for the transfer case.

just get the indeviduall bottles though, not the $200 case :p
