I agree that it's not a great feeling after a while. Makes sleeping in the tent a lot easier though.

anyway… Joe-
my opinion on tents, coming from a background of lots of long term backpacking trips and 5 years working for Eastern Mountain Sports. If you want a GOOD tent, get a tent made by a reputable company known for making tents.

I know Browning didn't make that tent, its just rebranded for them, but I'd get something with a good reputation. and for the type of camping you do, I'd get something with a tub floor and a single dome style. Easier/faster to set up and less things to try to figure out every time you set it up.

Hopefully the clear coat will make it a little better. If that doesn't work, I'll plastidip over the clear. my paint on the truck overall is just so fucked up. It's going to a maaco in the spring to get the door panels repainted

It pretty much looks like what you pay for. I've seen Maaco paint jobs. Better off going to a real body shop.

We also have a large tent, 4 separate rooms, it's a pain in the ass to put up. For overnight camping where It's just me or me and the fiance, i love our little dome tent. Fits my queen size air mattress perfectly, easy to put up and take down, and very durable.

 

I found out how awesome steelies are yesterday. Jenny hit a nasty pothole coming home from her work last night. It deflated quite a bit and the lip was badly bent. Took that bitch off and beat it like a red headed step child with a hammer, took it and aired it up and it's good as new. Made me want steel for the truck but I don't want to add even more effin weight.

 

I liked them too till I started reading reviews. But reviews only take you so far. I like to know the people reviewing. Right now im hung up on the browning tent I think overall quality is good from what ive read. Also I like the head room.

 

thats great if you're trying to have a gang bang… as for me i'll stick with tents designed for the amount of people i actually want to sleep with...

 

I like the way these look but having a faux beadlock will defeat the purpose of wanting a wheel I can bash with a hammer.
