Once my 4.0 on my 2005 warms up it starts a constant whine that gets louder and changes pitch with rev. I have changed belts,no change changed alternator,no change, changed idler pulley again no change. Any ideas, similar problems?

Is the belt to loose or to tight?

That would likely be an internal issue with No Belts and it still made the same noise.

Is this noise when just sitting out of gear and running the engine or when moving down the road?

Have you tried a stethoscope to pin point the general area the noise is coming from? They are cheap and a valuable tool when looking for noise.

Makes noise at idle clutch in and out. Makes noise when moving as well. Have tried to pin point, me and my mechanic can't figure it out. Trying to see if anybody has had this saving me from unnecessary opening of engine.
