I hear strange ticking noises when starting a cold engine. All fans are off, and no extraneous equipment is powered. It stops after a short drive and engine warms up. Appears engine compartment related.

I have an '06 PreRunner V6 Auto, with 143K on the clock. Excellent mechanical and physical condition, as far as I know...new, second owner for six months.

    Any ideas or experience?

:notsure: I guess we'll just keep wondering...gracias for your rapid reply. I have contact with a great Toyota mech at the local dealer...will run it by him and pass it on if relevant.
