Hey guys name is rj and lim from north jersey (yes north cause its like two completely different states) ike it says im a first time not only tacoma only but truck owner too...I have drove vw's my whole life yes vw's lol. I switched over because i1. i was getting sick of the expensive german engineering lol 2. i needed more room for my fishing (avid fly fisherman and fluker) and got sick of cramming everything in. and 3. because i worked part time for a while for a mason business doing snow removal and saw what a 5 yr old 100+ milage taco could do in snow.. i am planning on doing some minor mods for now and im not extremely handy so i hope i learn alot and get alot of useful tips from the community. i ahve a 2013 double cab, short bed, sport edition( i think sad i dont even know what i have) no it has bili's, navi and all that stuff the truck was given to me from my boss so all i have to pay for is registration/ only thing i did so far was strip it off all trd decals besides the v6. oh yea! and added some of my fishing decals to the back windows.. im not looking to do much off roading all the i am intrested in it and could use another way to spend my money lol...anyway im lloking for some black wheels that are little better then stock and adding a arb front bumper and possible doing some stuff to rear now...my main ? for u jersey guys is what is a reliable shop i could og to to get some info and work done..sorry for such long post... so if anyone is interested in govong me some tips shoot me one thanks appreciate it

    Hey there, welcome from Texas.
So from what I understand you will be putting the truck on loads every once and a while with masonry stone and stuff. I would recommend you get a stronger suspension under her if your gonna work her and even lightly off road it for fun.
A lot of people here run and recommend old man emu lifts

For wheels check out scs wheels. Designed just for tacomas and personally I think the wheels are damn sexy.

And now for you to picture whore your truck.

Welcome to TW & the Tacoma. I've own some VW TDi products years ago strictly for the MPG. It's still tempting... You'll never confuse the reliability of a Tacoma with that of a VW especially over the long term...not that JD Power initial quality 90 day look shit.
