    Ok,
My dealer has sunk to a new low. Took my 2007 TRD Sport 4x4 to the dealer to ask about the 2 recalls on it, the gas pedal and the seat belt anchor.
I told them I don't want my pedals cut since I have a manual, and a clutch pedal push would eliminate any unintended acceleration and they said that I can refuse it. They told me they had the parts for the seat belt anchor recall, and it would take about 2 hours if I wanted to do it, so I said OK.
I had them check while I was there to make sure there weren't any other recalls and they said no. After an hour wait, I got a ride home.

5 hours later, they call and tell me that the parts were "damaged" for the seat belt and they had to order some, but my truck was ready. great.

Went to pick it up, and they told me that the parts would be in within 2 weeks and they would call me, and they got the oil change all done...
"What oil change" I said. "Well, what kind of oil did you put in, because I have ran Mobil1 ever I got my truck." They had assumed I was there for an oil change, but the guy who checked me in never asked me if I wanted one. They swore it was a mistake, and did not charge me for this oil change and put in the system to do a free Mobil1 oil change.

Then I notice the next day lots of oil spilled down my engine and sitting on the front skid plate, so I have to wipe all that up, and clean up a spot on my driveway. That's when I first noticed the problem with a missing skid plate posted here.

Now I have to take my truck back to have the bolts replaced and see if they have my missing skid plate or not.

    Very frustrated.

Just checking. I wouldn't want to take mine to them either. I'm the same way. I only take it in for recall stuff. Do all my own maintenance.

Stealer ships. I've got my own story about them. Sorry to hear, hope it gets taken care of. Subbed for results

Ugh. I have similar stories about the VW I used to take my VW to. I plan to do all the regular maintenance on the Tacoma myself -- even the "free" first 36K miles of oil changes. No thanks.

I am surprised they did not cut your pedal. I had the tranny flashed and the leaf TB on my 2009 and had to fight them on the pedal. One dealer said if I brought it to them for any service they would cut if not already done. I said you won't see me at your dealership. I argued with my dealer and Toyota Corp for a good 1/2 hour. I finally one. Now I have a 2013 with this little gocart pedal. I hate it and I do not have small feet.

They sound very unorganized. I would avoid that dealer from now on.

No excuse for bad service. Those recall parts are spring loaded and damage very easily.
Dealers are also limited to the amount they can buy to stop hoarding, so they can get caught short.
