AC Questions

Novice Mechanic.

Needing to replace my AC Compressor and Dryer. Is there any site that has decent diagrams of under the hood to make it easier to locate specific parts?

Was planning to have a mechanic flush my system. then replace the parts myself. Then have a mechanic fill the refrigerant. Does that sound kosher?

Any tips or info greatly appreciated.

2003 Toyota tacoma prerunner 3.4l 2wd

 

I wrote this up a few months ago when my compressor detonated. I'd imagine the systems are similar if not the same between the 4cyl and 6cyl, but I'm not sure of it.
