Are those the tops of the rear shocks? 2nd gen rear shocks are different than those.

Biggest test of my Dakars to date. A full yard of soil mix. Handled it like it was nothing. No idea how much it weighed though.

Yeah, managed to line up friend's help. He's got a vise and a few c-clamps so should be able to rig up a press.

Had trouble trying to install the bilstein 5100 with the 884 I couldn't get the coil compressed enough even on a industrial compressor on a stand and the shock still wasn't long enough to extend through the top plate. Clip was at lowest setting. Pretty much the coils were 100% compressed and billies were at full extent I checked part numbers and everything was right I don't understand what is wrong. Some help would be awesome.

Got it. Was really easy. Greased up the bushings and the vise popped 'em right in.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
^this. the coil seat needs to drop down around the c clip to help keep it in place where the OME doesnt need that and curce upwards.

You can't run 885's with stock shocks

    No doubt your ride sucks

So I got rid of the taco lean I had when I initially installed the OME lift. One of my springs had more of an arch on the overload leafs for the dakars so i assumed they go on the side which is the heaviest which is the drivers side. I was wrong the passenger side was 1 3/4 taller in the rear so today me and my buddy switched them and put the ones with more arch on passenger side and solved the problem now its sitting level.
The drivers side has less arch due to more weight and springs contact overload leafs sooner on drivers side so it compensates with more arch on passenger. so i learned something new today and hopefully someone can use this info when installing Dakars in rear.

They aren't side specific on 2nd Gens

they both had positives on each spring but one of the pack had more arch to them in the overload leafs and the other pack had overload leafs closer to the leaf pack and i INSTALLED IT IN MY GARAGE :)

well they definitely were different even you commented on how much more arch one had vs the other and at first i had the lean really bad almost 1 3/4 difference and swathing them made the truck sit level. They probably aren't side specific but switching them def helped

That may have been the case between your two springs but according to OME / ARB literature they aren't side specific on 2nd gens
