Dropped the truck off at collision center today and got a bent frame... :(. Also found this:

    securedownload_zps97833cf5_cbe8846af180dd830c86395e4239b68efcbd607f.jpg

Good news is appraiser wants to buy a new bumper rather than hassle with trying to straighten this one out and believes the total $$ for repairs wont "total" the truck :)

No they are going to straghten the frame but not even try to straighten the bumper. Just too thick. I mentioned they could try to pull it out while anchoring the truck but he was afraid it will tourque the frame again (duh). Just dont have he tools to straighten it out. Besides, at $355 (plus shipping) actually cheaper than the stock chrome bumer (~$500).

Got a call from the assessor, the frame was off about 1/2 inch... Not bad.

sweet build! I got a couple questions for ya...
-Where'd you get the rear light bar from?
-What type of mesh is the satoshi?
    - What type of lights are behind the grill? they look like their a perfect fit but how deep are they? I'm gonna do the same but I'd want a little bit wider of a light.

Thanks (wo)man! Led lights are all china made.

Rear lights I got off of Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/KAWELL%C2%AE-2-Pack-Flood-Light-Worklamp/dp/B00IXDN0Y4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1396978743&sr=8-2&keywords=18W+Led+light+bar

The front lights I got from a shity group buy, are only 27watts, and are flood patern. Head lights are brighter... :(. I only keep them on because they are a whiter light and easier to see when setting up camp. They are also flood patter so have a wider angle than the head lights. They are a very easy fit using the BAMF Behind the Grill Light mount but not exactly recomended... If you want them, these are similar, if not the same (I think these are spots but you can find some floods if you want): http://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics®-F...&qid=1396978814&sr=8-16&keywords=27W+Led+spot

These are 42W (I plan to get a pair of these soon) and should be brighter and are a thin spot bean (8 degrees) so you should be able see better down the trail: http://www.amazon.com/6K-LED-Lighti...79101&sr=1-2&keywords=42W+Spot+LED+Work+Light

If you have the money, Rigid lights are the tits.

I got the Mesh roll off ebay.com. I cant access ebay at work but its pretty easy to find. Lots of diff meshes.
^ This guy has some mesh that look pretty damn good. I chose mine as it blocked the least amount of light but I think Ron's looks better :notsure:.

sweet, thanks for all the great info! If I have the money ? After joining tacomaworld, does any one of us really have money anymore haha
I dig both yours and ron's grills, I'm contemplating asking homertaco for the mesh or just getting it from online...we shall see!

I consider my truck an investment...

Homertaco mesh is very nice but pretty $$$. Ebay is a good place to check and Ron is free :notsure:

Question for the masses: I need a new exhaust. The turbo down pipe is 3" and the stock is 2.25". On a budget so $$$ is a big concern for me.

    1) Keep stock and just weld and adapter.
-Pros: Cheapest and good low end power
-Cons: High end power will be limited by the exhaust a good bit...

    2) Go up to 2.5"
    -Pros: Better power
    -Cons: Pricey

    3) 3" pipe
    -Pros: Best Power
-Cons: Noise? Very expensive (going to have to be custome cut/made)

    4) Electronic cut out http://www.rakuten.com/prod/qtp-qte...a_google_SpeedUnlimitedPerformance&adid=18179(I really like this idea...)
-Pros: Keep stock but with option of high end power
-Cons: NOISE. It will basically sound like open headers when switched over unless I want to rout a second pipe/muffler. Price can get high and will add to the list of wiring crap I have to do. Im already a month behind sched

The cut out will be the most fun and the logical. Keep it quiet on the highway and when you want to get a little crazy, you just flip a switch.

and i hate to say this for the millionth time..but...welcome to turbo land. Budget/time line...does not exist  Any budget you had...triple it. Then you'll be okay.

I would not do stock piping with the turbo without the cut out. Choke the turbo big time.

also, not sure where or how much you paid for your cool turbo port injector rail...but URD wants 1250 bucks for their last one   1000 bucks more then last i looked haha

    :lalala:

Yeah I got lucky on ebay. Fueler, fuel line, t-fitting, injectors for ~$200

I think Ill do the cutout but keep the stock exhaust for driving and put a short pipe on the other side of the cut out but kind of like to just stick with a 2.5" exhaust. Its always the loud cars that get in trouble and I know Im going to throw that switch at the wrong time. Besides, I need new cats... Maybe do the cutout later...

    :smack:

son...your not gonna run cats. come on. That will rob you of so much power! haha

    I wouldn't run them..not with the turbo.

you can add pipe to the cutout if ya want. Id just dump it. Keep it simple and won't jack up the cost.

I know this seems picky..but your talking the difference between 20-40hp really. Its crazy how much it helps to open up the turbo.
