Are you doing a retrofit? I've tried HIDs in the stock housing, and I ended up going back to halogens.

Good morning all. I still get choked up and angry watching and listening to all the Boston Marathon Tributes. Watching the footage isn't the best thing for me and I can't believe we haven't put that asshole to death

    Damn...
I don't log on for two days and Alex gets a date, Mike blows $500 on light bulbs & pisses his wife off, and Chris gets so upset at the idea of people using dish soap on their trucks that he has a phone seizure and triple posts!

    Happy Monday, everyone.

    +1.

Red-tape at it's finest. Try doing that shit anywhere else in the world and you would be lucky to see the sunrise the next day.

Sorry, I just found this post. Problem with internet abstinence during the weekends is that you miss stuff.

I actually use a coffee siphon; an 8-cup stovetop model. I think it makes an even better cup of coffee than my french press used to.
    http://www.amazon.com/Glass-Stovetop-Coffee-Siphon-Syphon/dp/B002CVTKW4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1397480419&sr=8-1&keywords=vacuum+pot+coffee

And then when we're camping I'll use 'Ye Olde' enameled percolator over the fire. Honestly, there's no better cup of coffee than percolator coffee from a tin mug while you watch the sun come up over a lake.

True, I guess I'm just surprised that yours were that much worse in that 15-20k miles. I didn't think they'd deteriorate that quickly.
    Sounds... ummm... fun.

Actually, the mini golf and movie parts sound cool, I haven't seen a movie in the theater in probably at least a year and can't remember that last time I went mini golfing. Walking and listening to her blab for 3 hours sounds like a waste of some perfectly good mod time!
    What's that from??
Mornin' I agree, I can't believe that little SOB is still wasting oxygen.

Listening to the tributes and the recovery stories of some of the victims has been inspiring though. I can't imagine what some of them have had to go through with the injuries they had but it's great to see a lot of them back on their feet and somewhat back to normal.
Whoa, whoa, easy with spreading the rumor that I blew $500 on lights! That kind of talk could get me in a world of shit with the wife! :smack: I only blew $140 on tail lights (and I hope to sell the stockers to get some of that back).

And for the record, the headlights I wanted were $500 EACH :anonymous: I'm thinking FX-R would be a much better choice for the sake of my marriage

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.

And a happy Monday to you! I'm celebrating with a day off.

Had a busy weekend too, but saw Chris' posts about dish soap. He hasn't seen how much of my clear has been scraped off or the dents. Or that my truck is a 2011 and has never been waxed. That said, I think washing off all of the old wax and getting fresh coats on every season or two is a good idea. The wife's Subie will get another proper wash and waxing this weekend, mine if there's time.

Hey Billy, I know a lot of folks are still really pissed off, but I'll tell you what... Some of the articles I've seen posted about the survivors and their drive and resilience, that's the stuff that makes me proud of my country and New England.

Chris, if you're looking for a time saver, try Meguiar's Quik-Wax. You can use it in direct sunlight, just spray it on and wipe it in. It's not as good as a good quality paste wax but it does a damn fine job in about 1/4 of the time. I use it just about every time I wash the truck and it holds up pretty well.

$500 per light is used even! Like I told Rob, I need deeper pockets to be messin with the F150 crowd...

I really wanted to get rid of the tails, that's one thing I never liked on the new F150's. I hate the chrome surround, the tails just remind me of those Altezza lights I had on my Ranger in high school. I ended up getting the blacked out Harley Davidson tails :) Next step is to install those and get rid of the enormous silver 4X4 decal on side of the box, then I'll like the back end of the truck also.

Eventually, I'll do something with the headlights but that'll be a ways off. I actually like the F150 front end.
