RAT Products has come out with a new product! For sale is a gas tank skid plate. The deadline for this group buy will be July 31st! I will then take $100 deposit and produce the skids. There is a 2-4 week lead time depending on how many I sell.

    Price: $200 plus shipping

    Details:
Choice of 1/8" or 3/16" steel
Replaces factory gas tank skid thing
Bolts to crossmember in front of gas tank - 2 drilled holes required
Uses factory gas tank skid rear mount
    Bare steel
    Grade 8 hardware included
ONLY FITS XTRA AND DOUBLE CABS

Shipping should be fairly cheap for this, I estimate $30-40 depending on how far you are from Iowa. I ship fedex.

PayPal preferred, but I will accept checks too. I ship when payment is received.

These 2 holes will need drilled through the top side of the crossmember with a 1/2" drill bit.

stuff and things that make it better
What's the issue with it not fitting on Reg cabs? Is is something I can modify to make work?

Edit: I see it mounts to the carrier bearing cross member.

The front mount would not work since the regular can tanks mount differently and don't have the same cross member in front. I have a reg cab in my shop so I can design one sometime.
