Does anyone know of a cheap way to throw some shovel axe or hi lift mounts on a Yakima rack, I have quick fists but don't know how I'd mount them up vuta7a2a_3fe578b053ed01d7d35481abf42874a4ef629cbc.jpg

Hose clamps holding the quick fists = cheap.

If you want to use your rack you can rig something up with Tusk UTV Horizontal Flag Mounts

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
U-bolts. Super cheap, super simple, easy to find, strong. That's how all my Quick Fists are mounted.

This is my first attempt at adding pictures to my post, so I hope this works!

I am just beginning this project. My 2013 just turned 2000 miles, so I celebrated by buying her a few gifts that may prove to be useful this spring, summer and fall. Yesterday, I pulled off my brand new Truxedo Lo Pro QT tonneau cover and bed mat and installed an ATC Original Bed Slide. Today, my new Leer 100XQ with remote unlock, LED lighting and a triple 12 volt power module was installed. Then I went to work in the garage, securing everything with Hi-Lift Slide-N-Lock tracks.

Here is the outcome after day one:

There is just enough room left on the slide for two (or four, if stacked) 8 gallon Action Packers containing kitchen items and such.

Next Wednesday is a Toytec Boss 3" lift with Light Racing UCA's and Ride Rite airbags, followed by new wheels (maybe) and some LT 275 70R17 tires (definitely), the addition of my Cascadia Mt. Shasta roof top tent (due in May), a new CB radio that just arrived and a new Scangauge II.

Unfortunately, the addition of the new shell forced the listing for sale of my brand new, never-used bed mat, bed extender, truck bed tent and Truck Bedz Expedition air mattress.

    More to follow!

Most people out here in SoCal have gone to ham. Several have both. I have the Cobra 75 CB and it's ok. The chatter you pick up from truck drivers is too much. I'm going ham in a week or two and run both. I'm just waiting for a few other parts to come in. Ham is clearer and has a longer range.

Ya that would be a big problem. If you can only afford one then go with what everyone has that you wheel with. Here on the west coast most people have Hams now

used them onb sailboats before. nothing special, but it's better than ice cold water. about enough water for one person, so it you're with the family/friends, make sure to have one per person. and they obviously don't work on cloudy days ;)

depends on how full it is. not gonna pressure wash dirt off of your skin, but it'll rinse some shampoo out of your hair.
