I don't know if I really want to wait that long. I am going to be busy the next three weekends. I would love to get this thing out of here.

We can meet up a different day if you want. I will bring it by tonight if you want for an extra $20.

Hey Peter, just a reminder on a quote for lifetime headlight bulbs and fogs. I'll be purchasing these for sure.

I know you are going to be busy coming up so if you want to pass this onto Joe or I can get a hold of him and take it from there....let me know bro.

Yeah it is so fun. Your truck is definitely ready whenever you are. Spare and cb are good to have but you don't have to. A lot of the guys have a simple two way radio that is like $40. I'll post a link to it they have pretty good range.

Definitely looks like a total blast. Just gotta get those basics and I'll be ready to roll out with you guys. Green trail looks cool. I don't think I'll want to hit that rock pit just yet though. Looking forward to it for sure.

This. You dont even need a CB, i wheel with mine turned off 90% of the time anyway lol!! Ill add to this list tools, have a simple set of tools with you, and it never hurts to have at least on spare CV with you, even if you are stock and wheeling the light trails. The only time i have broken a CV was on the exit of a hard rock trail on a rock the size of a basketball.

If anyone needs a CB i have a new never been used 560xl for sale, pm me if intrested.

I have started carrying tools with me, especially now that I am running full 35s. I use my CB all the time on road trips and wheeling, but when people don't take the time to get it working properly it isn't going to work right. Mine works great so I like using it.

I just dont like talking to people. I have my free cb hooked up to a free 5ft steel whip screwed to my tool box and never had any transmittal issues, people tell me it sounds good. I just went wheeling in Harlan and got down there and realized i forgot to hook my antenna up, oops! Yea tools and spares are good, nothing worse than wheeling and someone breaks and is not even remotely close to being prepared and expects the group to be thier mechanic.

This is my pet peeve. I don't mind helping or providing a tool they don't have/didn't know to pack, but being completely unprepared is a whole 'nother story.

Peter-and others-a MUST have for a second gen IMO is a spare tie-rod and a pipe wrench to change it. Can't tell you how many times I have given out my spare tie-rod and end to people on the trail. Or shown them how priceless a pipe wrench can be :D

CV's aren't necessarily a spare I would carry in a second gen if you still have OEM CV's installed...they are basically bombproof...one excellent fix they got right over the first gen's.

A buddy just got through going to the Badlands, and they had to tow an FJ of the trails and all the way home over a $15 spare parts.
