Toyota Tacoma Truck Owners Focus Group

On behalf of Toyota, Plaza Research, an independent marketing research firm is inviting select Tacoma owners to participate in an exclusive research study. I would be interested in this if I lived there!

 

There are dudes out there that might take the D for a D.
They have the D...just can't seem to get it past North American standards...the Jetta and X5 and alot of others have. I bet it's due to the taxes on diesel cars that blows the price out of the water and they don't think they will be profitable.

Leather and sunroof's would be nice. Frontier has those.
I'd like more cabin storage too...

 

I'm planning on going. So, give me any suggestions you have and I will type up and bring to the forum.

Engine heater is available, simple installation.
Maybe locking glove box and console box?
HVAC mod with driver control over a/c on-off instead of stealth a/c in defrost mode.
Please, please, please do not go to a Tundra-style oil filter.
Stronger overdrive gear (ala FJ) for manual 6 speed.

 

a locking tailgate would be nice.

 

Not sure why some want the sunroof.

 

X2. Or leather or diesel, storage, auto up windows blah blah blah.

Manual shift T/C <--- for good reason
Stronger leaf springs
One piece driveshaft
Better door seals, or all seals for that matter
A few more ponies
Don't need diesel, just a little better mileage would be nice, not a deal breaker

If you want all the luxury stuff, buy a car or SUV

 

Better front diff output bearings.
Rear drive shaft w double cardan joint.
Room for 33's without trimming.
More ways to anchor stuff in the bed. Lower and mid level tie down points in addition to the current ones.

Sunroof, better rear suspension, better mpg, a limited that has limited features like high end plastics auto climate control ect. Quieter cabin.

 

How about they just fix the current problems first??

 

double cardian, 2 piece like the 1st gens hands down.

and a V6 thats up to todays standards on power and mpg's.... its called the 2GR-FSE yota already makes it. If they did those two things id be a happy camper.



Fully boxed frame like the 1st gens would be nice as well
