I know this has been posted on here a ton, (in fact, I dont think there is much that hasn't) but I searched and didn't find the direct answer to my question, so I am going to ask anyway.

My Taco is an 09 with about 82,000 miles on it, and I was looking for a good injector cleaner simply to clean out all of the additives and crap they put in the winter gas. Literally nothing wrong with my truck's idle, etc...

I was planning on just putting it all in the gas tank, but now I see all kinds of folks doing some in the vac line, some in the oil and some in the gas tank.

Just wanting to get some feedback and advice. Should I not throw it all in the tank?

Proven to work, by independent labs. Is also a necessary part of the service intervals for Lamborghini's cars. Simply because our fuels are dirtier than European. Extremely concentrated, and returns the system to about 98% of new. Minus the fact that the fuel filter should still be changed as well.

Are those independent labs hired by Seafoam?

I've done titration tests testing the level of detergency in their product. I wasn't hired by Seafoam. With out going into detail their product was only about double of what detergent pump gas offers. Sure it will work? never said it didn't. I would want to spend my money on something that works. I can make recommendations so if interested PM me. If not no worries.

What I like to do is hook up a scan tool and see if it corrects the air-fuel trim levels and or as well do a before and after smog test to compare those numbers.

A full on decarb service is what's going to help best. preferable something through the throttlebody followed by a FI cleaner in the tank to finish the job.

    My post wasn't about SeaFoam.

I guess my questions is more around should I put seafoam directly and exclusively into my tank, or should I make the extra effort of doing the vac line? I have already bought the product. I guess I can always return it, but I was hoping to get it in my truck before a long road trip I am about to take in 2 days.

If this is strictly preventative and you don't have any current issues, I would just run it through the gas tank.

Thank you. This is exactly what I am looking for.
