275/70/17's with 2.5" lift???

Has anyone run this tire size? Is any trimming required?

 

I have them , no rubbing with my stock Sport alloys

 

With a little trimming and the right wheel, you can get by with even less. What tire are you thinking of going with?

I run them on stock 17's with no lift and get very minimal rubbing at full rack backing up. I have the BFG AT KO's, love them! I hear the Goodyears are pretty sweet too! Good luck!

also, stock UCAs (about an inch of clearance from the tire to the UCA)

I have the same size in Firestone Destination with around 3" lift and i rub at full lock.

 

depends on how hard you drive the truck.

if your wheeling hard you will rip of your front mud flaps a couple times and there will be minimal rubbing of the frame that is perfectly OK.

at least I did with 265/70/17's on stock sport alloys

 

I hardly go off-roading. It's all just for looks. I would get a highway tire in that size if they had one.

They offer these tires in the 275/70R17 and they are less aggressive than the BGF AT and Cooper ST. Just a few options.

I forgot to mention, I'm running Spidertraxx spacers. Will it make a difference?

What about the 255/80R17? Those are a little more narrow, but it appears they vary in height (31.0"-33.3") depending upon the manufacturer? I would be curious how these would fit on stock suspension, most likely with trimming. Just curious.

 

Guess I'll stay with 265's then.
