I like that butcher block countertop. But I'm broke and stuck with granite countertop;)

My dad was a master cabinet maker for 50+ years and tells me that swinging a sledge to remove cabinets from the wall is for amateurs that watch DIY/HGTV... Save them for the garage, basement, or better yet future Man cave "apartment" with a lock on the door to keep the wife and kids away

    Lol...
My dad was not a master cabinetmaker, but he said something similar.
He just taught me to be thrifty, haha!

I've always been more of a 'This Old House' and 'Yankee Workshop' kind of guy anyway. Although it does annoy me when they do this stuff...

Yankee Workshop is basically tool porn. :anonymous:

For anyone with a burning desire to know the answer (i.e. no one) I contacted ARB and the OME's will work as a stock replacement.

You have to admit though, doing demo with a sledge is one of the best stress relievers I've ever known!

x2. Sometimes putting a sledge through a wall makes life a little less hectic.

Moving a full cast iron tub down the stairs with a buddy since you don't know to break it into pieces first is much more of a stress creator though.

Why destroy it when it can be used somewhere else or by someone else. I love watching the Yankee with Norm

Half of my dads wood shop is old cabinets hanging under his work benches for storage. He too was a cabinet maker when he was in college. Now he does finish carpentry on the side. Iv learned a lot from the old man.

You guys just break up the cast iron tubs? I'm assuming they're not claw foot tubs, right?

I'm actually cutting into my own house then. Plaster, but no tubs.
I went through 2 Dorman bearings from Rock Auto and finally bit the bullet and bought OEM through Camelback for around $150. The bearing worked great but some of my vibrations came back.
