Hmm. Seems like a good deal but its an AMD. However it is a 6 core.

Im still considering it. But I know my parents would be more inclined to help me out if I bought an already built one. My mom has been saying she'll get me a new computer for a while (she did but we ended up returning it) so im just weighing all my options first

I'm seriously considering building myself a desktop. Mainly to handle video editing with a little gaming here and there. $1,000-$1,400 range.

Or just reload the laptop to get a little performance back. My laptop just can't keep up with the video editing. Much more tasking than most gaming...

 

Its from my college fund but yeah.. idk I may just say hey if you give me the money I would have gotten for a computer (around $800) ill throw in my own money and have a badass computer. Lol

 

For real. $1,000 budget can get you a nice desktop (before screen, keyboard, mouse)

I priced an 8-core, 32gb ram, 500GB SSD, 1TB hard drive, with a decent random Radeon card for about $1,100...

 

Have the parents buy the expensive parts then

 

Well my thing is, if I get them to buy that computer. Ill throw in $500 of my own money and buy a dual 27" led monitor setup. That would be awesome haha

 

Dang, this computer talk makes me realize how much I miss it. Used to love modifying my phone and computer to see how much power I could get out of it.

Reminds me of a time of when a company was trying to get my high school to switch to Mac's. So they let the technology director test a macbook. He let me put it to the test and I crashed it within a week because it couldn't keep up with running Windows 7, XP, Ubuntu and Mac OS haha

That seems overkill for sitting close to something.... I like my 22" TV. I can watch it at pretty much any distance

 

Well its also nice to run all my stock screens and pull up all my finance shit on dual monitors so the bigger the better lol

 

My one 24" is good and all, but work has spoiled me. I will definitely be running dual monitors. One monitor isn't enough. I like to be able to run Chrome, edit video or pics, and watch Netflix at the same time.
