'10 Won't Come Out of Park

Long story short, I loaded a crap ton of firewood in the truck recently. When I went to start it it didn't want to move out of park, then I noticed the ABS and slip lights were also on. I turned it off and on a few times and eventually it would go in to gear, although the lights were still on.

Since, the problem has reoccurred intermittently, although sometimes everything goes as it should. I haven't tried to manually turned the VSC off, because I didn't really know if it was even on and didn't want to cause further issues.

Any advice on what the issue could be? I have a '10 automatic transmission with over 99,000 miles. Thanks in advance!

 

Check and verify that your brake lights are working... they probably aren't.
Then check the IGN-1 fuse... it powers the brake lights and I believe the ABS system.

 

Brake lights are working, just went and checked. Any other ideas? Thanks for the quick response!

 

IGN-1 is normally the cause of it locking into park.
