I owned a 2013 with the backup camera in the mirror. If you own one of these, you know how difficult it is to see anything.

I purchased this camera relocation kit from Ebay a few months ago and it works great! This kit puts the backup camera into the radio screen and allows you to adjust the image for a clearer view. You will however lose the grid lines that you used to have in the mirror, those are part of the display in the mirror and not the camera. You will find during installation that there is an unused connector in the back of all Tacoma radios, even the base models without the backup camera, this is for the video input.

My 2013 is now being turned in under lemon law and I have a 2014 on the way. The 2014 already has the backup cam in the radio and I won't need the kit. I removed this from my 2013 after just a few months and I'm offering it for sale.

The kit sells for $70 on ebay, I removed every piece of it and I still have the original instructions including pictures. It is packaged in the original bag with all of the original parts/pieces/wire ties/connectors/and instructions just as I got it. The first time I installed this, it took me about an hour, it's not hard to do. A second time it would be much easier knowing what I know now.

I will sell this kit to a fellow TW member for $55 and include putting it in a padded envelope and shipping it to you. I will gladly support you through email if you have any questions during installation. Sorry for the poor pictures, its much more clear than shown as proven by how blurry even the Toyota name is.

Just to be clear, this doesn't include a camera and wiring, but just a harness? Like this?

I've never had a problem with the mirror location. I put my truck within a inch of where it needs to be in the garage every time. I would miss the red line also.

will this work with the 2013 JBL Entune package?

Actually thinking about using it for a front facing camera.

This will work with 2013 model radios and not 2014 model radios.

I have a harness made by the same person and will attest to the quality being excellent on this thing. Well made product!

I'm sure it is, But I want to make sure that it works with the JBL/Entune system for the 2013, not just the regular Entune system.

Take your head unit out and look on the back side for an empty 16-pin connector slot. Should be on the passenger side of the radio towards bottom.

To the OP, sorry if this is hijacking your thread. Trying to help you sell this.

If it has the connector, does it automatically work? is the software on the JBL/Entune with navigation going to allow for this wire to work? I want to use it for a forward facing camera. I'll have to work a toggle switch in there to have the camera turn on instead of just putting the vehicle in reverse. Sorry for all the technical questions. If it's what I'm looking for then its a great deal. I just need to know that it could work for my application. Do you have the original manufacturers contact info? maybe better for me to direct the questions to him?

The posting is for the assembly as Tomwil shows it.

I'm not familiar with the JBL system, but I can say that you would need to add another camera if the front camera project would work. This would give you the trigger wire that you would need, the connector for the radio, and the wiring where the video would feed in. You could probably run both the BU camera in the mirror and the camera in the radio at the same time.

Not at all worried about off topic or hijack... it's all good.
