I put the cat on when I rebuilt my injectors and went back to the 2.2" pulley so I changed a lot. It was mainly due to the sensor not reading gas flow correctly though.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
You will probably have to retune everything. Current tune is probably from bad readings from your AFR sensor. Also clear your ECU so it can relearn with a proper AFR reading.

Just be aware, some 5VZ's just ping and theres not much you can do about it. Try some seafoam into the engine to clean out any carbon build up.

My ping is still not completely gone :(. I will try to tune it out some more. What kind of numbers do you guys have in your timing map cells in the areas it pings?

I don't have R4 numbers, but I'm pulling over 6 degrees in some regions on the 91 octane map. At that amount, IMO it becomes questionable if the piggy is even retarding it that much effectively- but I can feel a loss in power- like I mentioned before, my 5vz is very VERY pingy in high load/low RPM regions, to the point that to tune out the ping, it feels pretty ball-less in that region. After I get out of that load region, she wakes up.

Any of you guys hit a really nice power bump after 3K RMP? Seems like around 3.3-3.5K my truck drops another sack and gets a huge boost in power when WOT/boosting. Air fuels stay essentially the same, I haven't logged OE timing numbers in that region yet. Feels like a big VE increase happens, or the OE ECU gets to advance timing and goes hog wild in that area.

Mine sounds like it runs about the same as yours. Ping down low, but when I get past that it hits hard around 3.3k or so.

The numbers sound about the same. In my areas of ping on the timing map, I had like 3.5-3.8 degrees. This was after I tuned it for the first time and slightly increased the numbers. I went ahead last night and bumped it up to 4.5 in the ping areas. I'm gonna load in this new map and see what happens. In Gadgets u tune guide, he shows a screenshot of the timing map from an S runner he tuned which he claimed was the worst pinging 5vz ever. The highest number he added in the ping areas was 4.5 degrees...

So I added 4.5-4.8 degrees only in the ping area 3-6 psi, 2000-2500 rpm and smoothed it out to the surrounding cells. Looks like my ping is gone!!
