Thank you both! I have let my tire tread on the original tires wear down so the time is coming for a new set up. :D

4WheelParts would not give me a cost breakdown on everything which was frustrating, BUT I did walk in with exactly what i wanted.

Lift: http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Complete-lift-for-07-Up-4x4-Tundra_p_254.html (613s with Dakar Leafs)

    Wheels: Fuel Boost d534 (20 x 9)

Tires: They pushed the Yokohama geolander at2's over any other tire... but again that doesnt make them right.

It was a crazy experience to say the least but ill shoot over a PM to see what we can do.

    Cheers -

Yeah, our local community, Grater Austin Toyota Off-Road, usually doesn't use a commercial shop. We have members who install lifts, and other members who work at tire shops. Then take it to 5Star Auto for an alignment, and you're good to go :)

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
Yeah I'm always up for wrenching. If I were you I'd get a break down of the prices. I did a quick search and came up with these estimates

    OME lift = $1,250
    Wheels. = $1,200
Tires (35's?) = $1,400 for the geolander AT ($350 a piece through discount)

    Total for parts = $3,850

So if these are their prices then our paying $1,150 for labor.
    I vote DIY

Absolutely agree on the DIY. I'm just not equipped to do this kind of thing which is why I turned to the ATX crew.

Hi Richy, we do, but they are announced on Greater Austin Toyota Off-Road on Facebook. I'll try to cross post those events more often.

If you're in North Austin or Round Rock, Twin Peaks in Round Rock just started a weekly truck night. You can catch us there every Tuesday at 6pm starting in August.

Good thing I found this! I just picked up my double cab a month ago and I've been looking to meet people with a similar interest in the area since I've only lived down here for a year.

Weekly meets at twin peaks huh? Guess I'll have to check that out. What's the easiest way to find you guys?

I don't know if this is the same place as originally mentioned, but I went down this "trail" not too long ago.

    Link

I didn't take the fork off to the right, just drove north till I hit pavement near the gates of that community. If you want to take a look, it'd be nice to know if there's anything off to the right of that main trail when it forks. I wouldn't be surprised if there's been more development back there, but maybe a place for city slickers like me to throw it in 4 to lube the system once a month.
