I don't see why not. I have a 5' bed, so I got the compact size. I think they have a full size bed version too if that is what you have.

It is a pretty good tent for $70.

The real test will be a night out + some rain.
I want to see how the fly holds up.

I agree. Much better pricing than the SportzTent models I was looking at.

Thanks for letting us know about the rainfly.

Got my platform build finally and pretty much ready to prop the tent on top and see how the air mattress fits in.
Just want to toss a couple coats of weather proofing on the ply for insurance against wet weather.
I will try to get a few pics up of the platform and how it works out with the tent, in case anyone is wondering about the fit, etc.
    Be back soon.

I built a platform for the air mattress and finally got around to setting everything up to make sure it all works.

Took some pictures along the way.

I just placed an order for one too. I have an 01 Double Cab so I'll take some pictures when I get mine for the 1st Gen guys to look at.

I've slept in my truck so many times that I'd appreciate the leg room. I always end up needing a tent for a campout or meetup and everytime I end up rushing out the day before to buy a $20 one from Walmart, pitching it on a shitty spot than ruining it and getting one use out of it.

How big is the tent all packed up?

It all fits into a small canvas duffel bag. I would take measurements for ya but it is pack in my camping trunk that is in the garage.
Haven't had me coffee yet. :pccoffee: Hope you understand.

I think you'll like it. Once you get the system worked out once the next time is so much quicker. I like that it can just be stowed easily when not needed.
Under $100 for a tent like this. I think it was worth it.

It looks like the sides of the tent hang off the sides a bit in the pictures. Enough that rain water won't get in the bed and slosh around under your ass while you're sleeping?

I see you built yourself a platform and I'm just wondering if that's something I'm going to want after a night in the rain or if I can live without it and stay dry.

Yeah, I think the sides are for just that - rain shedding.
I have not put the rainfly on yet. Not totally sure how much coverage that gives.

The platform was a nice addition. It does take away some headroom from the tent, but I really didn't care about that. It gave me more storage space underneath and, yes, a drier area for rainy days.

I can post up more pics/materials of the platform if that is something you are looking into.

Nah just curious. I'll report back when I get it with pictures for all the 1st Gen Master Race so they know what to expect if they want one. Thanks again for showing us this, especially the coupon for free shipping.

I got it today. I'm actually typing this up from inside it right now, gonna spend the night.

Not sure I put it up right. The instructions to me were really vague. No illustrations or anything. some of the instructions were straight out incorrect.

So, I did this. It's works but it's not pretty and probably not correct. Maybe you can enlighten me on what is wrong? The truck beds are the same length and size I believe so that shouldn't be an issue. I'm pretty sure it's the small version, the instructions and the order page all say I have the correct smaller version of the two.

Instructions? Oh yeah, there were some weren't there. hahahaha

It looks like you have more hanging off the back by the tail lights than I do. hmmm.
Wonder if the truck bed size between gens is different.
Still looks like you have it in there pretty well. What you did in the second pic with the extra length over the tail light area is a good idea. That will keep it a bit more stable, I think.

How did the test night go? :D

Bed length on 1st Gen is 61.5", whereas 2nd Gen is 60.3".

It does appear Codemonkey3 got the longer tent that would fit a 6' bed.

Thanks. Yeah, I have about 3 or 4 ground tents and a hammock.
That is why I didn't want to get a very expensive bed tent. I have other options if all goes bad.
