DRL question???

I'm thinking of installing HIDs with a retrofit, but I've read somewhere that you have to disable the DTRL. Is this true? If so is there a way to disable it without cutting the wires as shown in some of the DTRL disable write ups?

ive never heard anything about it. ive seen people with retro fits that still have their DRL

I retro'ed my '14 with HID projectors and the DRL's still worked. I had someone wire the angel eyes into my DRL's. Ill post a pic here in about an hour.

Never disabled mine. No clue why you would have to...?
