Hm... That isn't going to get me "special" treatment is it? And by special I mean bad special.

How long have you been out there? I remember the name, but the Ross I'm thinking of was 3 or 4 when I went.

Cool. Now that I think about it, his name wasn't Ross anyway. Can't think of it, but it rhymed with Ross, I know that much.
How are you liking it? That place changes so much, seems like everybody I talk to had it different then me, not to mention the class right before or after them.

Completely forgot about this thread until I started looking into getting a lift for my truck.

I ended up with Field Team 2, graduated latter portion of May. Had some family issues and took a compassionate into the next class. SERE was a trip. Incredible training that I don't want to ever do again. Looking forward to MOS, but really looking forward to graduating and getting on a fucking team. I knew this pipeline would be long and arduous, but I'm ready to do something significant.

Side note, something I haven't asked my TAC because he is always surrounded with 10 other dudes asking stupid questions like this one... As a prior 68W with no deployments, how much should I expect to be sent to Ranger school?

What MOS are you going to? That and the team/group you go to are the main determining factors.

18d and language/group is still unknown. Apparently all of us who had gotten a language assigned after selection may be getting switched up.

As an 18D, I wouldn't expect to go to ranger school unless you volunteer. Unless you TL is an old batt guy who insists on it.

How are they running the pipeline now? Seems they switch it up all the time. Last I heard SUT is first. Good luck with 18D. That's the longest MOS by far. So you might as well get comfortable at bragg, you're going to be there a while. Good course though. You're just going to have to slow down the partying from the other stages that only required fitness.

I didn't think you got a group until the end. People usually try to guess their group based on language, but I've seen dudes go all over no matter what language they got.

Dude ranger school is a thing of the past. If you want to go then go for it. But from everything I've seen no one will make you go or give a shit if you have a ranger tab

And I'm happy to hear that about ranger school. I just wanna get to a team and start contributing.
