Well, it's not looking good for the truck...wreck last Monday...Sunday was my 31st birthday,Tuesday marked my 12 yr mark active duty in the Marine Corps, let's celebrate Monday night at about 930pm by working late and on the way home from work,at about 60mph by trashing my truck...on the way home,on a sweeping curve I had a dog run out of the woods,I like animals so I did everything I could to avoid it-and I did,at the expense of my truck, the ass hit gravel and threw around on me, side ways at 50 or so and the only reason I can see it didn't roll is that it's fresh pavement and oily, then hit passenger front corner into an earthen bern, kicking it over onto the passenger a-pillar/roof, not a complete roll since it rolled onto the berm luckily, then back onto all 4s...got out for the initial inspected-shit...how did it not go worse?!a lot of damage-yes,as much as I expected-no, the only panels not AFU are the driver and rear driver doors and the driver bedside(dented up from wheeling prior)...and not a scratch on me....get back in,starts right up,lock in 4 as on tire completely off the bead and flat and I assume something has to be trashed, she drives easily up higher on the berm to give more space from the road....she even walked right up onto the flat bed... I've owned a lot of vehicles in the last 15 years, driven a lot of miles and never an accident, also this is the only vehicle I have been happy with all around..good dd,hauls the family and wheels like a SOB....now the waiting game, the assessor comes Monday and he wants me there to go through it with him,he asked for a list/references and prices of aftermarket stuff already, he seems like a good guy-he is a private assessor not one working for USAA. The shop it is at is great, the owner is awesome and they are already tracking parts to rebuild if they get the thumbs up, he is very patriotic and wants to help me out as he knows how much it means to me, even found a new cab already..if it gets totaled (as I expect) and the numbers work out I will buy it back, and the shop said they can straighten the cab a bit easily, then it's getting cut up,caged and a dedicated trail rig...but I want it back as a jack of all trades... Here the pics so far, I hoping everything goes well and I can chronicle a rebuild/upgrade thread instead of a memorial!
Here is my old, not very thorough build thread

No kidding...when all settled I felt shit in my shoe...figured it was glass or dirt...dirt shot up through the transfer case shifter boot and ended up in my sneakers! That was the first thing I noticed and then for some reason I felt I had to find my electric razor and make sure it worked...wtf huh?!

That's funny, but I know what you mean... I have had those WTF moments and would just later laugh at myself. No idea why some of those things seem to be so important at those times.

Dang I never swerve for animals big or small. Heck some kid in my inlaws subdivision had his dog on a expandable leash I nearly hit. I love animals but my safety and those in my car are more important than any animal. Plus if you swerve to miss deer you usually hit them. Glad your okay.
