Can the front seats be safely lowered? I only need to lower them an inch or two.

I have 2013 with access cab. Manual seats.

As with many guys, I'm 6'2" which isn't unusual. I have to hunch over to climb in and hit my head getting in if I'm not careful. My viewpoint is so high above rearview mirror that the mirror blocks a lot of view, even when pushed up.

I'm hopeful that there is a Toyota approved method of safely lowering the seats. It feels like the truck was designed by smurfs.

Well this is opposite. But I don't know of a way to do what you're asking since I'm sure it would require cutting the brackets and that is not going to be Toyota approved. Maybe for the rear view issue a relocate bracket is better.

    A little a this, a little a that...
I'm 6'1" and want to raise my seat so I can see over the hood better when off-roading. Different strokes...

I did do the mirror relocate bracket. It makes a huge difference and is cheap and easy.

To answer your question, no. Not unless you want to fabricate a new seat bracket.

    Thanks for the replies.

Yes, it seems to be just one inch too much. I'm not sure that I'd want it lowered more than an inch, maybe two max. That last inch or two makes a difference.

Ok ok, I can already hear all of the, "That's what she said!" yet can't find a better way to say it. :)

Makes me wish it had power seats only for this reason!
