Tundra beds. Didn't see any tacoma beds.

Not sure which truck this frame is from. I assume tundra since they have 3 sitting there with their beds off.

Happy to report Toyota wants to look at my frame.. Called local dealership today and was told to bring it in at 2:30 this evening. . I asked how long it would take to get a frame and he said 3 month on average but it's highly unlikely that I need a frame 95% of the 06 trucks they have inspected get a rust prevention spray .. I said well ok I will see you this evening..

you'll get a frame. there is no way in hell they will give you the spray. you get a frame if there is a 10mm hole or larger... pretty sure you meet that requirement.

When I worked at Hyundai, they had a MASSIVE recall on subframes for most of their models. We had people that, before the recall, had their frames repaired or replaced and other components- tires, suspension, etc... fixed as well that were damaged when their frames snapped while driving down the road, and Hyundai was reimbursing them with proper documentation. In some cases, they would have had their frame replaced aftermarket and Hyundai would just cut them a check if we safety inspected it and OEM parts were used and properly installed.

I'd think that it should be OK to perform the required repairs to not lose your daily driver and then go after Toyota for that amount when you are included in whatever recall comes out.

    Am I wrong?

If they say they decided to go the rust prevention route, my head would explode instantly.

Just a quick update..Nothing to report as of yet drove bye the local dealership where I had dropped off my truck and it's still sitting outside snow and ice covered with about a foot of snow..Almost want to go back with a spare key start it to let the battery charger and clean it off.. I did notice there is another 07 Tacoma parked along side of it exact same color and body style.. I couldn't help but take a look underneath at the frame and my gosh the frame looked worse than my own.. I can't complain I guess the dealership loaned me a 2015 Rav4 for the duration of the repairs.. But I do miss my truck!! Hopefully by spring time I will have it back
    for spring. .

Good news is my frame has arrived at the dealership ...But the parts kit has not ...
Bad news is ...... Dealership where my truck has been sitting for the last few months called me last week and informed me that my wheels and tires were stolen off my truck !! Yeah.... some low life SOB's jacked up my truck with 2 shitty sizzor Jacks and stole my wheels and tires while my truck sat on dealership lot ... Truck sgifted over night and was on its rotors and drums in the am when they opened ....

What! So do they reimburse you for new wheels and tires?

Yeah right... That truck was on their property, you have nothing to worry about. If they raise one stink at all, get a lawyer. Everything is their responsibility, wheels, tires, damage, all of it.

    This.
Dealership should be responsible for damage or thefts that occur while your vehicle is on their property. They generally will have a specific insurance just for that.

Edit: You may have to file a police report on the stolen items, though.

Police were contacted a report was made ..I was told to contact my insurance company my adjuster met them there and a claim was filed under my insurance. .. I was told dealership will pay the deductible but they are not responsible for damage or theft while vehicle is on there property. .

I've seen quite a few dealerships place signs up saying they are not responsible for damage or stolen property. As crappy as it is, these signs are showing up more and more now. Sorry to hear about that though, been through it myself but without full coverage insurance.

Over 6 months from the day I dropped off my truck for the frame and as of yesterday it's hasn't been so much as touched .. Well at least not by dealership thieves stole my wheels and tires. .. I inquired about it a few times and was told no end in sight .. No parts kit and a few frames sitting on lot... Dealership is polluted with Tacomas waiting on frames ..

At this point I would get a lawyer involved. There are so many things wrong with your ordeal I'm surprised you haven't gone off the deep end! Good luck to you...

Thanks and I'm about 2.. I even stopped today to ask if I could trade up on my truck since it's there for a new frame for over 6 months and was told .. "Yeah" Why not.. and "We won't even consider it a reconstructed title" I said "Well mighty fine of you guys and,a smart move on your behalf because if title is ever salvaged or reconstructed or even if it shows up on Carfax .. I be calling a lawyer... 06 Tacoma standard cab 100K 4cyl 5 speed great condition except for frame lol .. They came back with a 2,700.00 trade in offer... I said "That was a waste of my time" and walked out ..
