Are you guys getting the shocks included, too, for the SR5s?

If your truck is just a sr5, according to the tsb, you should get new springs in the back, new shocks both front and rear, and a alignment.

every time your read about tsb-0305-08 and the 2009's its a different story. Unfortunitly, what works for others may not work for you. my story:

took truck in for radio ( whole other story ) and weak rear springs. they told me they could not find anything wrong with either. I won the radio argument and they ordered a radio.
researched the tsb i read about here. yes, the tsb does not include 2009's at this point. but in my case the spring part number and the VIN group number both did match whats on the tsb.
so i first contacted the dealers customer service manager. stated how shitty i was treated by their service department and gave him a copy of the tsb. he agreed this should be taken care of BUT had to talk to the service manager. he did mention about calling toyota corp to register a complaint and get a case number. he said he would get back to me.
didnt hear form him for a couple days, so i did call toyota corp and got a case number. I made sure i stated a HARSH ride with weight in the back.
she mentioned there was a tsb for this and just to call the dealer. i called the customer service manager to let him know.
next day the custome service manager stated he talked to the service manager and they wanted me to come back with about 600 lbs in the back to inspect the truck. i stated i was not going to waste my time or money to have my truck inspected for a known problem that already has a tsb on it for the last four years. he said he would call me back.
he called and said the service manager wanted to talk to me personally.
once the service manager called, he started by asking me how i was using my truck. I stated just like my previous two, doing landscaping around the house, dirt, stone, etc. moving things, you know , stuff you do with trucks. so then he goes into if they do the tsb the truck i will have a much rougher ride, and they will not put the old springs back on. i told him i bough a truck, not a lexus. so he relently agreed to order the parts.
after a week or so the parts came in and i finally got the tsb done.
the ride is maybe a little firmer, but its a truck, what i expected from the begining.

lessons: now they stated they never heard of any problems and stated they checked for any outstanding tsb in the begining, but since the tsb only list 05-08 nothing probably comes up.
best advise, get copy of tsb and read it fully. not all trucks get the shocks.
call toyota corp to register a complaint and get a case number.
Ensure you use the word HARSH when describing how it feels with weight in the back to everyone you talk to.
and hopefully you will get the easy street.

    Just to add my 2bits....

As I understand it, the 3 leaf pack is not defective, just not as firm as the 4 leaf pack. Depends on your cargo and ride preference. I regularly carry loads and wanted the firmer suspension so I brought it to them in the "bottomed out state" and plead my case. The dealer had to do their analysis, and finally accommodated me.

For photos of my Rear Spring Part Numbers See post 18 here:

Once the 09's are offically included in the TSB it will make life easier for those owners who want to get the 4 spring pack.

    Good luck!
