    Working on it
    Considering picking up a Lincoln PowerMig 210 MP as my first personal welder, mainly because of the mig/tig/stick capabilities of it.

    We use Miller TIGs at work with the same amperage range and they cost more than the Lincoln which also does MIG.

    Anyone have any thoughts on it?

    I want to start welding, any suggestions? Will the flux cored welder work for doing good weld on the truck?

    Reserected from the dead.
    You can use flux core just fine, but once you switch to using gas and solid core wire, you will wonder why you even bothered with flux core.

    The learning curve is quite a bit faster with solid core wire and gas.

    just I think dealing with a tank and gas is more $$$ and harder

    There's an initial cost of the tank yes. But swapping them out doesn't cost much at all (100# tank at the local welder supply shop is like $50 here and it lasts quite a long time.) and it's totally worth it for the difference in weld quality and lack of spatter. And like mentioned before, the learning curve is faster.

    I pay $39 to fill my 80cf tank. I wouldn't flux core unless you like grinding.

    You could but gas is always better to keep the weld puddle shielded. I don't know about the rest of the guys but I started with a flux core welder and then got this one. But make sure that you get a welder that will be appropriate to the material your dealing with.

    Well I finished my first project for the most part except for paint. Built a welding cart for myself today. I'm pleased with it.
